Real Estate is certainly a passion of mine. I have been working in the property industry since 1992 and have remained a local resident in Brisbane’s inner south throughout that whole time. I love this area of Brisbane and find it so easy to talk to my client’s prospective buyers about what is so good about living here. We have the city on our doorstep but then within minutes, we can be on our way to the beaches north and south of Brisbane. Our inner city has blossomed in the past 15 or 20 years and has a wonderful vibe that reflects a relaxed lifestyle. Plenty of local restaurants and cafes, easy walking and cycling tracks and the river is an integral part of our city life.
After working in the industry for many years, I began to explore working as an independent so in 2006, FineLife Property was born. In fact it began as Barb Johnston Property and my plan was to maintain an independent, professional business where I looked after every facet of my clients’ needs throughout their sale. In recent years, however, things have changed a little as I have had 2 of my colleagues join me. They share my interest in offering a very personalised service and so it was time to change our identity slightly and re-brand into FineLife Property.
One of the main reasons for becoming an independent agent was in response to what I found to be the most important requirement of home sellers. They were more interested in who the person was looking after them rather than the Agency.
Being a local has meant there is lots of practical information that I can provide about the area – eg where the local schools, shops, day care facilities are. Where other local facilities are that may be important such as accessing transport, the freeway or bike tracks. My experience also means that I can offer an intrinsic value that comes from the many negotiations and situations that I have encountered over the years when selling on behalf of my clients. I like to keep my client numbers such that I can handle every aspect of a sale personally and in that regard, my clients will know everything that is going on. I live and breathe the Annerley Tarragindi Moorooka Yeronga and surrounds (since 1976) and have lived in Tarragindi, Annerley and Yeerongpilly where I raised my family. I am fully licensed and a member of the REIQ. It is also important to me to maintain current industry knowledge and skills so I am forever learning!
One of the special aspects of my work now is focusing on Seniors and helping them with members of their family when it comes time to make that rather daunting transition. The fact that this decision is occasionally initiated by unexpected events, I feel it is extremely important that everything is handled with due care and attention for everyone involved.
I would love to talk to you if you are thinking of selling so don’t hesitate to send me a quick email or call me on 0412 765041.
